Welcome!
Admission Process
We are thrilled you are considering our school for your child’s education and childcare needs!
After we receive your application and all required documents, your child will be considered for placement. If we determine your child is well-suited for our program, we will then invite the child into the school for a visit as part of a group (kindergarten entrance) or individually. Please review the Admissions Policy as outlined in the application package. Please send your application form to admissions@cathedralschool.ca. If you are interested in applying to our JK school, please contact our JK Director, Caitlin Wynne, and she will be happy to assist you.
Come to the school for a family tour and a consultation regarding your child’s education. While on your tour, your child will take part in an assessment as follows:
-
Kindergarten applicants will attend our Kindergarten Readiness Day where they will participate in play-based assessments with their future cohort. Families will have an opportunity to meet faculty members and learn more about our primary school program. If you missed our Kindergarten Readiness Day, we will arrange for an individual evaluation.
-
Applicants for grades 1-8 will complete an academic assessment with our Head of Student Support. This assessment will focus on literacy and numeracy skills, and determine whether additional supports will be required.
Once the interview and assessment have been completed, we will invite your child in for a Shadow Day. Applicants will have an opportunity to spend time in their age-appropriate cohort and explore our school community, daily schedule, academic expectations, and special programming.
One of our admissions team will contact you with our decision and guide you through the rest of the registration process.

If you have any questions about enrolling your child at any time, please reach out to speak with us. We accept children throughout the year if space is available.

Bursaries are available
Financial assistance for families in need is available through our bursary program. The first step is to submit an application to Apple Financial Services, a third-party service we rely on for an unbiased evaluation of financial need. Find out more and review our bursary package here.
