Welcome!

Welcome to Christ Church Cathedral School, a wonderful place of learning where students can develop and inspire themselves and others to be the best they can be. I come from a family of teachers.  My paternal grandfather started his teaching career in a one-room sod schoolhouse on the Canadian prairie in 1912.  My father taught in several Alberta and BC towns before he became principal of the small K-12 school in Kaslo, BC, a post he held for thirty years. I have taught in two public school districts and four independent schools in BC.  I believe my grandfather, my father, and I would all agree that the best thing about schools is the students.  And I think we all would agree that smaller is better.

At Christ Church Cathedral School, our talented and committed teachers work with each student in our Junior Kindergarten to grade 8 classes to maximize their potential by exercising the values of trust, respect, empathy, and inspiration.  We do this with Christian principles at the center of our educational practice.

Our small class sizes, challenging curriculum, extra-curricular programs and highly-supportive family atmosphere lead students forward to successful high school careers and community service that is an integral part of their lives.

I’d like the opportunity to show you and your child around our school. On our tour, I hope both you and your child will be able to imagine future schooling at Christ Church Cathedral School.
