We are seeking a Middle School Teacher for the following position:

​1.0 FTE for Middle School, Grade 6 to 8 Language Arts & Social Studies Teacher
Start date: January 2, 2024

Required:

• Valid membership with the Teacher Regulation Branch (TRB) of the Ministry of Education of BC

Strong candidates will:

• Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills

• Possess exceptional interpersonal skills for effective classroom engagement

• ​Exhibit flexibility, enthusiasm, and honesty in their approach to teaching

• ​Excel in teaching core subjects such as Language Arts, Social Studies, and others as needed

• ​Show proficiency in integrating technology to support student learning

• ​Engage students in language arts, social studies, and other related activities to enhance their learning experience

• ​Utilize differentiated teaching methods effectively

• ​Collaborate, organize, and contribute to the school team’s effectiveness

• ​Employ diverse teaching and assessment strategies to engage a broad spectrum of students, prioritizing student-centered learning

• Contribute to the school's extracurricular activities
