Learning Support Teacher

The Cathedral School team is currently in search of a Learning Support Teacher as our newest member. The successful candidate will understand the unique developmental and social needs of students in grades 6-8, be committed to challenging and empowering students as learners, and enjoy being part of our vibrant and dynamic school community.

​We are seeking a Teacher for the following position:

​0.5 to full-time Learning Support Teacher
Start date: September 2024

Required:

  • Valid membership with the Teacher Regulation Branch (TRB) of the Ministry of Education of BC


Strong candidates will:

  • be familiar with the BC Ministry of Education curriculum and core competencies

  • work with students to integrate and acquire interpersonal and social skills that help them work, learn and play with
    one another harmoniously and with confidence

  • use differentiated teaching methods effectively

  • understand the use of a technologies in the classroom both for learning and learning support

  • be familiar with a variety of formative and summative assessment tools
    work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the full school’s effectiveness

  • willingly engage in our co-curricular program

  • support the Anglican Ethos of our school programming
